Why, hello there!

Thank you for joining us for our Easter announcement! We have had many inquiries regarding what we’re doing for Easter… so here you go!

We are making handmade cupcake toppers to go in the tops of pre-ordered cupcakes – refer to the photo for an idea of what they’ll look like! We are offering these to be in Carrot Cake, Chocolate PB, or a surprise assortment. It will be $32/dozen for these adorable treats!

Additionally, we’ll have Apple Pies prepped and ready for you to pop into the oven for a fresh, and easy dessert! These will be $15 plus HST.

Please refer to the form below for all of your Easter needs! If you would like to order other treats for Easter, but do not require any special decor, please head on over to our regular ORDER FORM. Thank you very much!

For those of you who don’t know, Bronson is currently undergoing an entire facelift. Yes, we’re getting the Bank St. treatment. Never fear, though! We are staying open through the digging and paving and plowing, etc! We just want to make sure you are all aware of the parking situation in this part of town.

Bronson Ave. is officially closed between Catherine St. and Gladstone. You can drive across Bronson down Arlington, but that doesn’t really get ya anywhere. If you are coming from the East end, we recommend just getting off at Metcalfe/Catherine, turning right onto Kent, left on McLeod, left on Percy and right on Flora (you can park on McLeod, too!). (Ya got all that?)

If you’re coming from the West End, exit at Rochester, and turn left to go North up Rochester, until you reach Gladstone. Turn right on Gladstone, continue across Bronson, and turn right at Percy. You can choose to turn right up Flora or McLeod, which have both become 2-way streets. Flora is a little bit closer to us than McLeod, though!

If you have any questions of where to park, please don’t hesitate to give us a call and ask for directions. If these instructions are a little too convoluted for you, just head to Gladstone and there’s parking along there.

We’re going to take a look at the modified bus routes to see the best way to get here by bus. That should come to you sometime next week. Otherwise, the sidewalks are still open and you can get to us by good old fashioned walking or cycling! When you come down here, you will be weirded out by how quiet it is… well, when the crane things and diggy machines aren’t going at it, of course.

Thank you to everyone for your support during this construction – we know it is making it a bit more difficult to access us while these road closures are in place, but we will continue to communicate to the best of our ability to make sure you know how to come get your delicious vegan treats! =) And thank you to those of you who have suggested some new places for us to approach regarding new wholesale accounts – keep the suggestions coming!

As many of you know, we underwent some major renovations over the holiday season. If you had stopped in to the shop beforehand, you would know that our space was, well, cramped. We had our own office space, which was nice, but we spent most of our time in the baking area! On top of that, we had a lot of feedback requesting a small seating area where our customers could sit down with a treat and a cup of coffee or tea.

Considering we do our very best to accommodate to the customers’ wishes, we decided to take the plunge and tear the place up! Mandi’s father-in-law took over, and it took a mere 2 days for the space to transform from what we once knew, into a brand new spot. Once the big stuff was out of the way, Mandi and I reorganized the entire place… we both had this feeling of nervousness before everything got started. After all, we’d been working in the same set-up for over 2 years! Opening up the retail location to have a sit-down area was a really big step. As we started to put the bakery back together, any nervousness we had soon dissipated.

In our humble opinion, the place looks amazing. The general consensus is that the entire building looks to have grown 5 feet width-wise; we actually get natural light in to the baking space and everything!

We are so excited to bring to you our new bakery. We invite to come on by, grab a treat and a cup of coffee!
