We’d love to introduce you to our newest member of our team…
Little Jo Berry!
(Or “Josephine” for short).
Josephine joined us this past March as an additional pair of hands around the bakery to help run the till, do the dishes, and provide moral support on wedding cake days. If you’ve ever come into the bakery when she’s been here, you will know how much spirit and excitement she brings. She is always a big help to keeping up the morale and high energy of the bakery! Since starting with us, our little Jo has now become quite the staple – she’s now started attending shows with us as well, and has even had a cake decorating training session with Miss Kate!
When she’s not at the bakery, she can likely be found spending time with the two loves of her life… Harris the Beagle, and Chugs the Rat. These two pups have completely captured her heart! (This is probably why she fits in so well around here…). Josephine is a raw vegan, who runs her own blog about her food-related adventures. In the future, she would love to run her own raw vegan joint… so long as she will have time to play with all the extra puppies she plans to acquire.
Josephine absolutely loves comics (mostly anything Tank Girl or Batman-friendly), is a self-described dancing devil and
dessert enthusiast, and adores anything that’s second-hand. We like to think of her as a little scavenger Gremlin! This summer, she plans to learn the ukulele and to work on a comic/pin-up inspired tattoo.
We think our Little Jo Berry is absolutely wonderful, and we know you’ll think so, too. Please don’t be shy about saying hi whenever you see her around – she loves to meet new people, and we plan on putting her out there! Gotta show her off somehow!
