Kate Arnold , just call her your Friendly Neighborhood Bombshell! Although there are some days that she may look less than bombshell-worthy, that’s just her secret identity. She travels the city, helping where she can, posing at will! She even has a cape! She’s a Jill-of-all-trades, having worked in almost every part of the city in any job you can think of!
Now she has the pleasure and privilege of working with one of the most cat’s pajama-like group of guys and gals in her fair city!
P.S. she also has a penchant for exclamation points… Don’t hold it against her!
We met Kate 2.0 at the beginning of 2011, at the Wed By Hand Meet n’ Greet. When she’s not baking away, Kate runs her own business known as Flights of Fancy. At the time, she was creating amazing fascinators and was looking to break into the wedding scene. We were drawn to her right from the start, as she has such a fun and unique personality! Over the next few months, we saw each other at a few events, and she offered to give us a hand whenever we needed. As noted above, she has had many different jobs and had actually attended pastry school at one point! In the summer of 2011, we took her up on her offer and asked her to join us as a wedding assistant. Her original job was basically to help Miss Kate with delivery, directions and set-up. It didn’t take long for us to realize she did such a great job around the bakery that we wanted to have her join the team on a more regular basis! Kate 2.0 has now become one of our bakers, and her efficiency, dedication, and high energy are always welcome.
Check out Flights of Fancy! Since Wed By Hand, her business has expanded, and she now makes the most adorable rings and earrings. Kate 2.0 can be found at many different craft sales around Ottawa; she is at Urban Craft on the first Saturday of every month!
