To our friends and supporters:

It is with great sadness and regret that I must share the news that as of tomorrow Auntie Loo’s Treats will be closing its doors permanently after six years in business.

I am devastated by the impact that this will have on our extraordinary team, and the disappointment that I know our many loyal and long-term customers will no doubt feel. I am grateful for and humbled by their unwavering support and love, as it’s what has kept the business – and myself — afloat even through the ups and downs.

I have pursued every possible avenue to make Auntie Loo’s Treats viable, but have no choice but to conclude that we can no longer continue. This business has been my entire life, and I want you to all know that I did everything within my power over the past several months to make things work. I wish more than anything that the outcome was different.

There is no single reason or incident that has prompted this incredibly difficult decision; rather, it stems from a number of challenges. Owning and running a small business is exhilarating and fulfilling, but it’s also challenging, all encompassing, and fraught with the potential for failure.

To have had the opportunity to do what I love and be able to have the meaningful impact of showing thousands of people how delicious vegan baking can be, is a gift.

Ottawa Food Community, business and restaurant buddies, I love you. It has been an absolute privilege working with all of you.

Thank you to all of our friends, family and supporters for all of your love and kindness over the past six years. You have no idea how much it has meant to all of us.
